Birkenstock surges on revenue beat, higher full-year outlook

August 13, 2026 6:55 AM EDT

Investing.com -- Birkenstock shares jumped more than 5% in premarket trading Thursday after the German footwear maker raised its full-year guidance alongside third-quarter revenue that topped revenue expectations.

The company reported third-quarter earnings per share of €0.74, missing the analyst estimate of €0.76 by €0.02. Revenue rose 15% in constant currency to €719.5 million, ahead of the €713.2 million consensus estimate.

Growth was double-digit across all regions on a constant currency basis. The Americas grew 14%, EMEA rose 15%, and APAC led with 23% growth. Direct-to-consumer revenue rose 16% in constant currency, while B2B revenue increased 15%.

“We performed exceptionally well in the third quarter and once again demonstrated the strength of our brand," said Oliver Reichert, CEO of Birkenstock.

Adjusted EBITDA rose 11% to €242 million, though the adjusted EBITDA margin narrowed 70 basis points to 33.7%, weighed down by unfavorable currency translation and incremental U.S. tariffs, partly offset by improved capacity absorption.

Birkenstock raised its full-year 2026 guidance, now expecting constant currency revenue growth of 15%, up from 13-15% previously, putting reported revenue at the high end of a previous range of €2.30 billion to €2.35 billion, compared with the €2.34 billion consensus.

The company raised its adjusted EBITDA guidance to at least €710 million, up from a prior forecast of at least €700 million and above the €709.8 million consensus, with an adjusted EBITDA margin now expected at 30.2% to 30.5%, up from a previous range of 30% to 30.5%.

Birkenstock said its APAC segment remains on track to grow at twice the pace of its other regions for the full year.
