Knowles to manufacture Elucent Medical's surgical guidance device

Knowles Corporation (NYSE: KN) has agreed to produce a surgical guidance device for Elucent Medical, according to a press release from Knowles. The device is designed for use with Elucent's EnVisio® In-Body Spatial Intelligence™ System.
Knowles will manufacture the device at an ISO 13485-certified and FDA-registered facility in Penang, Malaysia. The company applied a design-for-manufacturability approach during development, working with Elucent Medical engineers on design iteration, material selection, and tolerance improvements.

Knowles, headquartered in Itasca, Illinois, manufactures specialty electronic components including capacitors, RF filters, microphones, and balanced armature speakers. The company operates across 11 countries and serves the MedTech, Defense, and Industrial markets.
