CVRx names interim head of sales amid leadership change

August 11, 2026 7:02 AM EDT

CVRx, Inc. (NASDAQ: CVRX) announced that Robert John, its Chief Revenue Officer, will depart the company, with Paul Verrastro named Interim Head of Sales effective immediately, according to a press release.

Verrastro will lead CVRx's sales organization while the company searches for a permanent replacement. He previously served as Chief Marketing and Strategy Officer at CVRx and had most recently moved into a senior advisor role focused on commercial execution support. He has been with the company for more than five years.

Verrastro has more than 30 years of medical device sales and marketing experience. Before joining CVRx, he held sales and marketing leadership positions at Guidant, Boston Scientific, and Medtronic, with work focused on implantable cardioverter defibrillators and cardiac resynchronization therapy.

Kevin Hykes, President and Chief Executive Officer of CVRx, cited a revised commercial outlook and the need to improve commercial execution as reasons for the leadership change. "I have full confidence in Paul's ability to lead our sales team while we search for a new leader," Hykes said.

CVRx is a Minneapolis-based medical device company focused on neuromodulation solutions for cardiovascular disease patients.
