Wrap Technologies launches WrapTactics LMS for non-lethal training

August 7, 2026 7:01 AM EDT

Wrap Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: WRAP) announced the commercial launch of its WrapTactics Learning Management System (LMS), which the company says completes the training foundation of its WrapShield six-tier response platform.

The launch follows a 2026 ATF ruling classifying the BolaWrap 150 as an instrument of restraint rather than a firearm, a determination the company says removes procurement barriers and opens direct purchasing channels across non-law enforcement markets including private security, healthcare, corrections, and education.

WrapTactics LMS is delivered through Cornerstone's FedRAMP-compliant enterprise learning platform and includes digital certification management, mobile learning, enterprise auditing, compliance reporting, and third-party course delivery. The system launches with three certification levels: Operator, Agency Instructor, and Master Trainer.

"The trained officer in the loop is only as reliable as their training," said Scot Cohen, Chief Executive Officer of Wrap Technologies. "With WrapTactics now commercially launched, we have completed the foundation layer that makes WrapShield operationally credible at every tier."

The company describes WrapShield as a six-tier architecture spanning threat detection, identification, notification, non-lethal restraint, less-lethal force, and human-supervised lethal engagement. Wrap Technologies states that WrapTactics converts ongoing training requirements into a recurring subscription model, extending customer relationships beyond the initial equipment purchase.

According to the press release, the company plans to expand the platform with additional digital certifications, AI-assisted training assessment, and new subscription services, with stated ambitions to grow into federal, defense, and international markets.
