Vontier Corporation (NYSE: VNT) has acquired EKOS, a cloud-connected fleet, fuel and electric vehicle management software company headquartered in Wilmington, North Carolina. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
EKOS provides commercial fleet operators with centralized visibility across fuel procurement, site monitoring, fleet asset management, fuel card controls and EV charging infrastructure through a single platform. According to the press release, the platform supports more than 1.2 million vehicles across the U.S.
Vontier had previously offered EKOS as a preferred fuel management software solution for its fleet customers prior to the acquisition, integrating the platform with its equipment and fueling site solutions.
Mark Morelli, President and CEO of Vontier, said the acquisition "accelerates connectivity across our product portfolio and advancing our comprehensive vision for fleets," adding that it "enhances our ability to help fleet operators optimize performance, streamline operations and navigate an increasingly complex energy landscape."
Phil Dorroll, President of EKOS, said the combination gives the platform "unparalleled coverage" across hardware, communications, alarms, integrations, service, support, software and centralized reporting layers.
