August 6, 2026 6:34 AM EDT

Rocket Lab Corporation (Nasdaq: RKLB) launched its 13th Electron rocket of 2026 on August 6, deploying the QPS-SAR-13 satellite for Institute for Q-shu Pioneers of Space, Inc. (iQPS) from Launch Complex 1 in Mahia, New Zealand, at 9:18 p.m. NZST.

The mission, named "The Grain Goddess Provides," marked the eighth QPS-SAR satellite deployment by Rocket Lab for iQPS, which operates a synthetic aperture radar (SAR) Earth-imaging constellation across twelve orbits. Rocket Lab states it has achieved 100% mission success across all eight deployments for the customer.

iQPS has 10 additional dedicated Electron launches booked to complete its constellation before 2030. Rocket Lab said its next Electron launch, called "The Lightning God Defends," will carry another QPS-SAR satellite and is scheduled for later in August from the same launch site.

The completed mission was Rocket Lab's 92nd Electron flight overall, according to the company's press release.
