Superblocks and Amazon Web Services (AWS), a unit of Amazon.com (NASDAQ: AMZN), announced a multi-year collaboration to make Superblocks' generative AI platform available within customers' AWS environments, including Amazon Bedrock.
Under the agreement, Superblocks will run fully managed inside a customer's own AWS environment, integrating with Amazon Bedrock, Amazon EC2, and Amazon Aurora. The Amazon Aurora integration is designed to spin up databases for AI-generated applications with scale-to-zero capabilities.
Superblocks' Smart Router on Amazon Bedrock is said to deliver up to 30% cost savings by routing simpler coding tasks to open-source models and more complex ones to frontier models.
The collaboration includes a "Cloud-Prem" deployment model that allows enterprises to keep data and code within their AWS security perimeter while business teams build internal applications on a self-serve basis. IT and security teams retain control over auditing, governance policies, and production security requirements.
"Today, business users are vibe coding on their local desktops with no secure path to production on top of their private enterprise data," said Brad Menezes, CEO of Superblocks. "Our partnership with AWS provides the infrastructure for that secure path."
"Giving AWS customers the flexibility to run Superblocks in their own virtual private cloud with model choice on Amazon Bedrock means business teams can build AI applications on enterprise data without putting security at risk," said Jason Bennett, Vice President and Global Head of Startups and Venture Capital at AWS.
As part of the go-to-market arrangement, AWS will serve as Superblocks' preferred cloud provider. Both companies plan to co-market the offering and conduct enterprise workshops. Superblocks will also be available for purchase through AWS Marketplace.
Superblocks has raised $60 million in funding from investors including Kleiner Perkins, Spark Capital, Meritech Capital, and Greenoaks, according to the company.
