MasTec adds attorney and investor Alex Spiro to its board

MasTec, Inc. (NYSE: MTZ) has appointed Alex Spiro to its board of directors as a Class III Director, the company announced.
Spiro is an attorney with more than a decade of experience advising Fortune 500 companies on regulatory investigations, corporate governance, securities issues, complex litigation, and strategic business transactions. He also holds positions on the boards of TMC the metals company Inc. (Nasdaq: TMC) and CleanCore Solutions, Inc. (NYSE: ZONE).
Spiro holds a law degree from Harvard Law School, where he has served as a lecturer and faculty member in the Trial Advocacy Program. He previously served as chairman of the board of Harvard's Fair Punishment Project and currently serves as counsel to the Reform Alliance.
MasTec Chairman Jorge Mas said in a statement that Spiro's experience as "an investor, public company director and trusted advisor across the energy, technology and industrial sectors will be a valuable addition to our Board."
MasTec is an infrastructure engineering and construction company operating across four segments: Communications, Power Delivery, Pipeline Infrastructure, and Clean Energy and Infrastructure.
