VICI Properties names former Cadillac Fairview CEO to its board

VICI Properties Inc. (NYSE: VICI) has appointed John M. Sullivan as an independent director on its board, pending regulatory approvals, according to a press release from the company.
Sullivan's appointment is expected to bring the total number of board members to eight. He will serve on the board's Compensation Committee and Nominating and Governance Committee.
Sullivan served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Cadillac Fairview Corporation Limited from January 2011 until his retirement in October 2023, a tenure of more than 25 years with the company. Earlier in his career, he held executive positions at Brookfield Properties, Marathon Realty Company Limited and First Quebec Corporation.
Sullivan currently serves on the boards of Colliers International and EQ Bank (Equitable Bank). He also serves on the Board of Trustees of The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Concordia University and an MBA from McGill University.
Jim Abrahamson, Chair of the Board, said Sullivan's "extensive leadership experience" and "deep knowledge of real estate investment, capital allocation, business development and asset management will greatly contribute to VICI's strategic planning and execution."
