Wrap Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: WRAP) announced that Stark Security Inc., a Chicago-based security services provider, has selected and will deploy Wrap Reality, WRAP's virtual reality training platform, across its operations and officer training programs.
Stark Security serves clients across Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Michigan, and Iowa, offering armed and unarmed security officers, mobile patrol, personal protection, and event security. Through the deployment, Stark will train both armed and unarmed officers using scenario-based simulations designed to reinforce situational awareness, communication, and organizational policy. The company also intends to incorporate the platform into its Stark Security Training Academy for new recruits and experienced personnel.
Wrap Reality is part of WRAP's broader WrapShield platform, which combines virtual reality scenarios, instructor-led facilitation, and after-action review. WRAP said the Stark deployment reflects its continued expansion into the private security market.
"Our team is responsible for protecting people and property every day, often in unpredictable situations," said Brandon Sartor, Chief Executive Officer of Stark Security. "Wrap Reality allows our officers to experience challenging situations repeatedly so that communication, judgment, and professionalism become second nature when it matters most."
WRAP also referenced ATF Ruling 2026-2, which classifies the BolaWrap 150 as an instrument of restraint rather than a firearm under federal law. The company stated it believes this ruling may broaden access to civilian and private security channels that were previously affected by weapons classification requirements.
According to the press release, the U.S. private security industry employs more than one million professionals. WRAP's BolaWrap product is currently deployed across more than 1,000 agencies in over 60 countries.
