Waste Connections plans Canadian dollar senior notes offering

July 27, 2026 12:46 PM EDT

Waste Connections, Inc. (TSX/NYSE: WCN) announced plans to offer two series of Canadian dollar-denominated senior notes due in 2033 and 2036 in an underwritten public offering in the U.S. and by private placement across Canadian provinces.

The notes will be senior unsecured obligations of the company. Waste Connections said it intends to use the net proceeds, along with cash on hand, to repay a portion of Canadian dollar-denominated borrowings outstanding under its revolving credit facility.

CIBC Capital Markets, Scotiabank, and TD Securities are acting as joint book-running managers and underwriters for the offering. The U.S. offering will be made under a shelf registration statement filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission on Oct. 24, 2024.

The offering is subject to market and other conditions, according to a press release from the company.
