Baker Hughes wins LNG equipment order for Venture Global's CP2 expansion

July 27, 2026 7:00 AM EDT

Baker Hughes (NASDAQ: BKR) announced it received an order, booked in the second quarter of 2026, from Venture Global LNG to supply liquefaction equipment for the CP2 LNG expansion project in Louisiana.

The scope of the order includes six liquefaction blocks, totaling 12 liquefaction modules. Each block consists of two single mixed-refrigerant liquefaction modules with related compression trains, along with cold boxes, air coolers, and integrated control systems featuring Baker Hughes' centrifugal compressor technology.

The award was made under an existing master equipment supply agreement between the two companies. Baker Hughes already supplies equipment to Venture Global's Calcasieu Pass and Plaquemines LNG facilities, and the company states it serves as a supplier across more than 100 million tonnes per annum of Venture Global's existing and planned production capacity.

Venture Global CEO Mike Sabel said in a statement: "Baker Hughes has been a trusted partner across our LNG developments, and we are pleased to extend this collaboration as we advance the next phase of CP2."

Baker Hughes Chairman and CEO Lorenzo Simonelli said the collaboration "reflects the strength of our partnership and our shared commitment to scaling modular LNG solutions that accelerate U.S. supply and support global energy security."
