Roots has opened a new store at Vancouver International Airport (YVR), located at Gate E88 in the U.S. Departures Terminal. The store is operated in partnership with Hudson, a travel retailer that is part of Avolta, according to a press release from Roots Corporation.
The location carries apparel and accessories including the brand's Original Sweats, Vancouver graphic fleece, T-shirts, Made in Canada collections, and novelty accessories. Certain styles from the Vancouver graphic fleece and T-shirt collections are exclusive to the YVR store.
"Our product assortment is uniquely suited for comfort and travel, making airports a natural extension of our retail strategy," said Meghan Roach, President and CEO of Roots Corporation. "Opening at YVR allows us to connect with both Canadian and international travellers at a key global gateway."
The YVR location joins an existing Roots travel retail store at Taoyuan International Airport in Taiwan. The company stated it is exploring additional travel retail opportunities across Canada.
Roots Corporation, established in 1973, operates more than 100 corporate retail stores in Canada and two stores in the United States, along with more than 100 partner-operated stores in Asia.
