CORT Business Services to acquire Dwellworks Living by July 2026
CORT Business Services, a Berkshire Hathaway company, has signed an agreement to acquire Dwellworks Living, the temporary housing division of Dwellworks, with the transaction expected to close on July 31, 2026, subject to customary closing conditions.
Following the close, the acquired business will operate under the name Dwellworks Living by CORT. Until then, both companies will continue to operate as separate businesses.
James Conigliaro, current Chief Executive Officer of Dwellworks, is set to join CORT as Vice President of Dwellworks Living by CORT upon close. Bob Rosing will return as CEO of Dwellworks following the transaction.
As part of the deal, Dwellworks will exit the temporary living business and increase its focus on destination services and other relocation support services, while maintaining a strategic partnership with Dwellworks Living by CORT.
CORT said the combined organization will have access to the CORT Global Network, which spans more than 90 countries. Dwellworks Living provides temporary housing solutions to corporations, relocation management companies, and business travelers.
"This acquisition underscores our confidence in the strong business Dwellworks Living has built and its continued growth potential," said Mike Davis, CEO and President of CORT Business Services, according to a press release statement.
Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
