LightPath Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: LPTH) announced it has received $13 million in follow-on purchase orders from an unnamed counter-UAS and defense systems supplier for optical assemblies, according to a company press release.
The Orlando, Florida-based company said it will provide optical assembly work under the orders, with delivery completion expected in calendar year 2027.
The orders are intended to support counter-unmanned aerial systems, or C-UAS, applications for U.S. military and allied customers. LightPath did not disclose the identity of the customer.
Chief Executive Officer Sam Rubin said: "We are proud to support one of the defense industry's most innovative companies with the optical assemblies that help enable its counter-UAS systems, as part of a multi-year program that is expected to continue to grow."
LightPath describes optical assemblies as one of three pillars of its growth strategy. The company operates manufacturing facilities in Orlando, Florida, as well as in Texas, New Hampshire, Latvia, and China.
