Clearfield launches power delivery portfolio for remote network sites

Clearfield, Inc. (NASDAQ: CLFD) announced a new Fault Managed Power portfolio designed to deliver both fiber connectivity and electrical power to remote and distributed network locations, according to a company press release.

The Minneapolis-based company said the portfolio includes three products: a rack-mounted transmitter supporting up to 6 kilowatts across four independently supervised output channels over distances of up to 6,000 feet; an outdoor receiver delivering up to 2.5 kW of regulated 56 VDC power from an IP66-rated enclosure; and a High Voltage 4000 Receiver providing up to 4 kW of 240–350 VDC output in a DIN-rail form factor.

The system uses supervised Class 4 power delivery, which automatically disconnects when a fault is detected. Clearfield said the portfolio allows operators to route power alongside existing fiber infrastructure using lighter-gauge cable, potentially reducing the permitting, trenching, and licensed electrical work typically associated with bringing power to remote sites.

"Telecom, data center, and wireless networks are becoming more distributed, but operators still have to solve two challenges at every location: connectivity and power," said Anis Khemakhem, Chief Commercial Officer of Clearfield. "Clearfield's Fault Managed Power portfolio gives operators a faster and more coordinated way to bring fiber and power together through one vendor."

The products are scheduled to be displayed at ISE Expo 2026 and Yotta 2026.
