Paylocity launches Ignite AI platform with agents and central hub

July 21, 2026 9:01 AM EDT

Paylocity (NASDAQ: PCTY) introduced Paylocity Ignite AI on July 21, 2026, a platform-wide artificial intelligence system featuring automated agents and a centralized management dashboard designed for human resources, finance, and IT workflows.

The Schaumburg, Illinois-based company said Ignite AI includes several purpose-built agents embedded across its existing platform. The Answer & Insight Agent allows users to query company data using natural language to surface workforce trends and cost information. The Payroll Analysis Agent identifies anomalies in payroll data before submission by comparing entries against historical trends. The Candidate Fit Agent assists recruiters by surfacing applicants based on role criteria and summarizing how candidates match job requirements.

Additional agents included at launch are the Resume Summary Agent, the Data Inspection Agent, and the Time Correction Agent, which surfaces time entry errors and compliance issues ahead of payroll deadlines. Paylocity said further agents covering scheduling and candidate engagement are planned.

Alongside the agents, Paylocity is introducing the Ignite AI Hub, a centralized dashboard that allows organizational leaders to monitor AI adoption, measure productivity impact, control which agents are active, and identify additional automation opportunities.

Paylocity said the product was developed with input from an advisory group of HR and business leaders. Genevieve Gonnigan, VP of HR & People and Culture at Lincoln Park Zoo, was quoted in the announcement: "Manual processes are a time suck, and Ignite AI turns things that would be a 5- to 10-minute process into a 30-second question or resolves them on its own."

Toby Williams, President and CEO of Paylocity, said in a statement: "Ignite AI is the next evolution of AI at work: embedded across the Paylocity platform, built for every team, and informed by the real-world needs of clients who use it every day."
