ReElement Technologies adds 13 employees to scale Indiana refining ops

ReElement Technologies Corporation, a minority holding of American Resources Corporation (NASDAQ: AREC), has hired 13 professionals across operations, engineering, laboratory sciences, finance, and process optimization as it works to commission and expand its rare earth and critical mineral refining facility in Marion, Indiana.

The new hires are intended to support the commissioning of ReElement's Marion campus and meet what the company describes as growing commercial customer demand for domestic rare earth element refining.

Kirk Taylor, Chief Financial Officer of ReElement Technologies, said in the announcement: "These hires represent much more than additional headcount. They bring the operational, technical and financial expertise needed to commission equipment, improve processes, expand production and serve customers at commercial scale."

Among the new additions, Luis Garza brings nearly 30 years of maintenance management experience, having worked with Befesa USA and Zinc Nacional. Anastasiia Natova has more than 10 years of experience building industrial systems across pilot and commercial environments. Emma Kerr, an industrial engineer, previously delivered more than $1 million in continuous-improvement savings. Silvia Vargas joins from Purdue University, where her research focused on rare earth element separation and recovery, and she has co-authored two patents related to bismuth and indium. Sara Tanner, a Certified Six Sigma Green Belt, brings more than eight years of public accounting experience to support the company's financial infrastructure.

Taylor also noted the hires support preparation for public markets, stating the additions "strengthen the organizational foundation needed as we continue preparing ReElement for the public markets."

ReElement's refining platform processes recycled rare earth permanent magnets, lithium-ion batteries, concentrated ores, brines, and coal-based waste streams. American Resources Corporation holds a minority stake in ReElement Technologies.
