Mobix Labs board approves national security expansion initiative
Mobix Labs, Inc. (Nasdaq: MOBX) said its board of directors unanimously approved the launch of a National Security Matters initiative, broadening the company's business scope beyond its existing defense and aerospace connectivity products.
The initiative establishes a framework for evaluating acquisitions, investments, partnerships, and organic growth across four areas: critical resources and advanced materials; defense, aerospace, and autonomous systems; energy, water, and critical infrastructure; and digital infrastructure and strategic technologies.
The expansion builds on a previously announced proposed acquisition of Special Project Delivery, Inc., according to a press release from the company.
Chairman Jimmy Peterson said, "The Board believes national security and economic security have become inseparable. Our NSM Initiative reflects a long-term vision to build businesses that strengthen America's strategic capabilities."
CEO Phil Sansone said the expanded strategy allows the company to pursue opportunities across strategic industries "while remaining disciplined in capital allocation and focused on building long-term shareholder value."
Mobix Labs is based in Irvine, California, and describes itself as a provider of connectivity solutions for defense, aerospace, and high-reliability markets.
