Byrna Technologies names James White as SVP of retail & channel growth

Byrna Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ: BYRN) has appointed James White as Senior Vice President of Retail & Channel Growth, effective July 20, 2026, according to a company statement. White will oversee the company's retail and e-commerce sales channels and report directly to CEO Conn Davis.

White brings more than 25 years of experience in consumer products and durable goods. He most recently served as President and Executive Director of Maverick Sales & Marketing, Inc., where he advised manufacturers on go-to-market strategy and retail expansion, building a national sales organization across big-box, e-commerce, grocery, and specialty retail channels and commercializing more than 20 products.

Before that role, White held senior positions at Zwilling J.A. Henckels, Nexgrill Industries, and Sunbeam Corporation. During a 15-year tenure at Nexgrill, he helped grow annual revenue by more than 500% to approximately $300 million.

"Jim has a proven track record of building scalable commercial organizations, expanding retail distribution, and delivering measurable growth," said Conn Davis, CEO of Byrna.

The appointment is described by the company as part of a previously announced realignment of its sales and marketing organization. Byrna cited recent retail initiatives including enhanced merchandising, in-store training, a "Try Before You Buy" pilot program, and a "Find the Right Launcher" guided shopping experience.

White holds Bachelor of Science degrees in Business Administration and Sports Management from Springfield College, along with an artificial intelligence certification from MIT Sloan and a Six Sigma Green Belt certification from Villanova University.
