Airbus Helicopters secures order for eight H145s from Saudi operator

Airbus Helicopters and The Helicopter Company (THC), a Public Investment Fund company based in Saudi Arabia, announced a firm order for eight Airbus H145 helicopters at the Farnborough International Airshow, according to a press release from Airbus Group (OTC: EADSY).

The helicopters are scheduled for delivery between 2027 and 2028 and fall under a framework agreement signed between THC and Airbus at Verticon in 2024. That original agreement covered up to 120 Airbus helicopters of various types, to be delivered over three to five years.

THC plans to deploy the H145s in Emergency Medical Services and other mission-critical operations across Saudi Arabia and internationally.

Captain Arnaud Martinez, CEO of THC, said the order "reinforces the dynamic partnership we have developed with Airbus over the past six years" and that the aircraft will "help to enhance our operational capabilities and position THC to further extend our footprint beyond the Kingdom."

Matthieu Louvot, CEO of Airbus Helicopters, described the agreement as "a testament to the trust THC places in our multi-mission platforms to support the Kingdom's rapidly expanding aviation ecosystem."

More than 1,800 helicopters in the H145 family are currently in service, with a combined total of more than 8.6 million flight hours logged.
