BuzzFeed adds Stanley Washington to board, names him comp chair

BuzzFeed, Inc. (Nasdaq: BZFD) has appointed Stanley E. Washington as an independent member of its Board of Directors, effective July 16, 2026. Washington will serve on the Audit Committee, the Nominating, Corporate Governance, and Corporate Responsibility Committee, and the Compensation Committee, where he will serve as Chair.
Concurrently, Greg Coleman is stepping down from the board. Coleman had been a member since the closing of the company's business combination in 2021 and previously served as Chair of the Compensation Committee.
Washington currently serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of Pantheon Global Services Inc., a Beverly Hills-based investment and advisory firm focused on fintech, payments, and commercial real estate. He has more than 40 years of experience across financial services, fintech, payments, and commercial real estate.
Earlier in his career, Washington served as Regional Vice President and General Manager at American Express, where he managed more than $50 billion in annual charge volume across 13 western U.S. states. He later served as Chief Revenue Officer of publicly traded LogicMark, Inc., where he held full profit and loss responsibility.
Washington also holds board positions at The Center by Lendistry, where he serves as Board Chairman, and at Atlanta Life Insurance Company. He is a Trustee Emeritus of Morehouse College and has held a board position there since October 2015. He holds a B.A. in Marketing from Morehouse College.
BuzzFeed confirmed there are no arrangements or understandings between Washington and any other person related to his selection as a director, and no related party transactions between Washington and the company, in accordance with Nasdaq Listing Rule 5250(b)(3).
