John B. Sanfilippo & Son announces CEO transition for October 2026

John B. Sanfilippo & Son, Inc. (NASDAQ: JBSS) announced a leadership succession plan, with several executive changes set to take effect October 1, 2026.
Jeffrey T. Sanfilippo, currently Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, will transition to the role of Executive Chairman. Jasper B. Sanfilippo Jr., who currently serves as President and Chief Operating Officer, has been appointed to succeed him as Chief Executive Officer.
Frank S. Pellegrino, currently Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, has been promoted to President and Chief Financial Officer, a role that expands his operational responsibilities across the company.
Jeffrey T. Sanfilippo said in a statement: "Jasper is an exceptional leader with deep operational expertise, has a strong strategic mindset, and a proven track record of execution."
Jasper B. Sanfilippo Jr. said: "It is an honor to succeed Jeffrey as CEO and continue the family legacy of running the company and to build on the strong foundation Jeffrey has established."
Pellegrino has been with the Elgin, Illinois-based company for nearly 20 years, according to the announcement. The company processes, packages, and distributes nut and dried fruit products under brands including Fisher, Orchard Valley Harvest, Squirrel Brand, and Southern Style Nuts.
