Bridgeline Digital, Inc. (NASDAQ: BLIN) announced it has secured a multi-year software-as-a-service agreement with a multinational distribution company to deploy its HawkSearch platform for B2B eCommerce search, according to a press release.
The unnamed distributor, described as a supplier of cleaning, safety, processing, and packaging materials, selected HawkSearch to replace an existing search platform that the company said had limitations in relevancy, merchandising flexibility, and support for B2B buying requirements.
The distributor operates on a BigCommerce environment. HawkSearch is set to provide customer-specific pricing and product visibility, complex part number relationships and mappings, product restrictions across buyer segments, and merchandising controls for large, multi-category catalogs.
Bridgeline described the deal as a competitive displacement of a legacy solution and said the agreement carries potential to expand HawkSearch across additional business units over time.
"Enterprise distributors are moving away from generic search tools that cannot handle the complexity of real B2B buying environments," said Ari Kahn, President and CEO of Bridgeline Digital. "This win highlights how HawkSearch enables distributors to deliver more relevant results, manage complex product data, and support personalized buying experiences at scale."
