Lance Gokongwei joins PhilWeb board after P2.03 billion investment

PhilWeb Corporation (PSE: WEB) announced that Lance Y. Gokongwei has joined its board of directors, following his recent strategic investment of P2.03 billion in the Philippine-listed technology company.
Gokongwei said in a statement provided by the company that he looks forward to working with the board and management team as PhilWeb continues building infrastructure, technology capabilities, and operational scale.
PhilWeb President Edgar Brian K. Ng said Gokongwei's experience in institutional leadership, strategic planning, and capital allocation would be valuable as the company pursues its next phase of growth.
As a board director, Gokongwei will provide strategic oversight and governance leadership as PhilWeb expands its technology and AI-enabled operational roadmap, according to the company's statement.
PhilWeb describes itself as a provider of digital infrastructure, operational systems, compliance technology, and platform solutions supporting licensed operators in the Philippines. The company said its ongoing initiatives include investments in AI-enabled operational systems, compliance and risk management infrastructure, platform analytics, operational automation, and scalable digital infrastructure.
