Sonos, Inc. (Nasdaq: SONO) has appointed Chris Shackelton to its Board of Directors, effective July 28, 2026, according to a company statement.
Shackelton is a co-founder and managing partner of Coliseum Capital Management and currently serves on the board of Universal Technical Institute. He has previously held board positions at Gildan Activewear, ModivCare, LHC Group, Lazydays Holdings, and several other companies.
Julius Genachowski, chair of the Sonos board, said Shackelton has "built a strong relationship with us over the past four years" and brings experience as a public market investor and public company director.
Sonos CEO Tom Conrad said the appointment fits the company's effort to build a board with expertise across areas including AI, product, hardware, and finance. "He brings the thoughtful viewpoint of an investor who sees the opportunity in this business the way we do," Conrad said.
Shackelton noted that Coliseum Capital has been a Sonos shareholder for several years. "With a healthy balance sheet and strong cash flow potential, there are multiple strategic and capital allocation pathways to drive compelling returns for shareholders," he said.
