Voya Financial, Inc. (NYSE: VOYA) disclosed in a Securities and Exchange Commission filing that it estimates a combined alternative investment and investment capital pre-tax loss of between $9 million and $19 million for the second quarter of 2026, before partial offsets from reduced variable and incentive compensation accruals.
On an annualized basis, the midpoint of the estimated range would represent a return of approximately -2.5%. The annualized year-to-date return, based on the actual first quarter result and the midpoint of the estimated second quarter range, would be approximately +2.5%.
The figures include alternative investment income from the company's general account and investment capital returns from its Investment Management segment.
Voya noted that financial closing procedures for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, have not yet been completed, and that actual results could differ materially from these preliminary figures. Ernst & Young LLP has not audited, reviewed, or performed any procedures on the preliminary results. The company's full quarterly earnings release and financial supplement are scheduled for August 4, 2026.
