MindWalk Holdings Corp. (NASDAQ: HYFT) has filed European patent application No. EP26187897.9, covering high-dimensional data structures for biological subsequences and property inference, the company announced.
The application seeks to protect the biological representation architecture that underpins the company's HYFT® Technology, its ReefIQ™ biological context layer, and its LensAI™ reasoning workflows. The filing builds on MindWalk's existing European patent EP3881326A1, which covers the identification of recurring biological patterns used as a searchable language for sequence comparison.
According to the company, the new application addresses a distinct layer above that foundation, seeking protection for how subsequence-level pattern anchors can be enriched with biological context and made usable across its platform, customer programs, and AI workflows.
"As AI models become more broadly available, we believe lasting advantage in life sciences will come from the biological context those models can use," said Jennifer Bath, Ph.D., Chief Executive Officer and President of MindWalk. "This filing is intended to protect aspects of the architecture at the core of HYFT® Technology, where MindWalk believes lasting value in biological AI can compound."
MindWalk said LensAI™ is currently in contracted, recurring arrangements with life-sciences customers. The company also reported preclinical data in dengue and influenza research programs using its HYFT® platform, noting that additional studies are required before any conclusions can be drawn about neutralization, safety, or clinical potential.
The patent application remains subject to examination, and claims may be narrowed, rejected, or challenged. No assurance has been given that a patent will be issued or that it will provide the scope of protection sought.
