Arcutis Biotherapeutics, Inc. (Nasdaq: ARQT) has launched a virtual health platform that connects individuals with independent, board-certified dermatologists for evaluation and treatment of eczema, seborrheic dermatitis, and plaque psoriasis.
The platform is designed to provide an additional pathway to care for people who have not yet seen a dermatologist or who face barriers to in-person visits, such as long wait times, geographic limitations, or scheduling challenges. Users complete a brief clinical intake before being connected with a participating dermatologist.
Arcutis said the platform is intended to broaden access to its ZORYVE (roflumilast) portfolio, where appropriate, for approved indications. The company stated it does not influence clinical decision-making, diagnoses, or prescribing decisions made through the platform. Participating dermatologists evaluate and determine treatment independently.
If a ZORYVE prescription is issued, it can be coordinated through a national pharmacy hub that includes insurance support and home delivery, or sent to a patient's preferred pharmacy.
"We recognize that individuals living with chronic inflammatory skin diseases have different preferences for how and when they engage with providers, and many patients struggle to obtain in-person dermatology care," said Todd Edwards, chief commercial officer of Arcutis.
According to the company's press release, more than 45 million people in the U.S. live with eczema, seborrheic dermatitis, or plaque psoriasis. Arcutis is based in Westlake Village, California.
