FactSet and Google Cloud partner on AI tools for finance
FactSet (NYSE: FDS, NASDAQ: FDS) announced a strategic partnership with Google Cloud on June 30 to develop AI-powered solutions for the financial industry, according to a press release from the companies.
The partnership is structured around three areas. First, FactSet plans to embed Google's Gemini model capabilities into its Workstation platform via the Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform, targeting deep research functionality and multi-modal experiences. Second, FactSet's MCP and agent sharing functionality will be integrated into Gemini Enterprise, Google Cloud's platform for building and deploying AI agents, to provide financial intelligence to users of that platform. Third, the two companies plan to jointly develop agentic workflows designed for portfolio operations, deal advisory, and corporate finance.
FactSet will also add Google Cloud to its existing roster of cloud providers to expand its infrastructure capabilities.
"AI is fundamentally shifting how financial professionals access data, derive insights, and make decisions," said Sanoke Viswanathan, chief executive officer of FactSet. "Together with Google Cloud, we are putting trusted financial data and advanced AI capabilities to work, empowering our clients with more intuitive, connected, and intelligent agents."
Karthik Narain, chief product and business officer of Google Cloud, said the integration aims to help investment professionals "surface insights faster, automate complex workflows, and realize commercial value from AI."
The announcement builds on a previously disclosed collaboration between FactSet and Google DeepMind. Financial terms of the partnership were not disclosed.
