BlackLine, Inc. (Nasdaq: BL) announced new governance and observability capabilities for its Agentic Financial Operations Platform, including a preview program for its Finance Control Console, according to a company statement.
The Finance Control Console is designed to provide finance organizations with centralized oversight of AI-driven financial operations. Features include real-time visibility into automated actions, end-to-end audit trails, policy enforcement, human-in-the-loop risk monitoring, and oversight of AI agents from BlackLine and third-party sources.
The console is built on open standards and is intended to work across an organization's broader finance technology ecosystem. BlackLine said the tool is aimed at helping chief financial officers manage compliance and audit requirements as AI adoption expands across financial operations.
"CFOs cannot and will not delegate their financial accountability to ungoverned, black-box AI models," said Owen Ryan, Chief Executive Officer of BlackLine. "Organizations that successfully scale AI will be those that combine intelligent automation with uncompromised accountability and control."
BlackLine also launched a Finance Control Console Preview Program, giving enterprise customers and strategic partners early access to the capabilities to help shape governance frameworks and emerging practices for agentic financial operations.
The platform is powered by BlackLine's Studio360 and Verity AI components and is structured around two layers: a system-agnostic data layer connecting financial data and workflows across enterprise systems, and a financial operating system that orchestrates workflows and AI agents within finance-defined controls.
"Built on 25 years of financial process expertise and trusted by more than 4,300 customers worldwide, BlackLine combines AI, automation, embedded controls, and governance in a purpose-built platform for the Office of the CFO," said Jeremy Ung, Chief Technology Officer at BlackLine.
BlackLine serves more than 4,300 customers across multiple industries. The company is listed on the Nasdaq exchange under the ticker BL.
