CEL-SCI signs distribution deal with Saudi Amarox for cancer drug
CEL-SCI Corporation (NYSE American: CVM) announced it signed an agreement with Saudi Amarox at the BIO International Convention 2026 on June 22 in San Diego, covering regulatory, marketing, distribution, and revenue sharing for its investigational cancer therapy Multikine in Saudi Arabia.
Under the agreement, Amarox will support the planned introduction and commercialization of Multikine in Saudi Arabia, with an option to extend to other Gulf Cooperation Council countries, subject to regulatory approvals. Multikine has not been approved by the FDA or any other regulatory agency, and its safety and efficacy have not been established for any use.
Multikine is an investigational cancer immunotherapy intended for use before surgery in newly diagnosed, previously untreated head and neck cancer patients. CEL-SCI conducted a Phase 3 trial enrolling 928 patients across 23 countries and approximately 100 clinical sites.
CEL-SCI Chief Executive Officer Geert Kersten said, "International collaboration has been central to CEL-SCI's development strategy for many years, and we look forward to contributing our experience and expertise to support oncology care throughout the region."
Abdullah Alzomaie, CEO and founder of Amarox, said the collaboration supports Saudi Arabia's healthcare transformation objectives and access to innovative medicines.
Head and neck cancer is described as the sixth most common cancer globally, with approximately 900,000 newly diagnosed cases per year, according to the press release.
