M&T Bank (NYSE: MTB) announced the appointment of Krista Phillips as its Delaware regional president, effective July 1, 2026. Phillips will retain her current role as chief customer and transformation officer while taking on the new position.
Phillips joined M&T Bank in 2025 as its first chief customer officer. She has more than 25 years of experience in financial services, with prior senior leadership roles at Wells Fargo and Citi focused on consumer banking, brand management and customer engagement.
In her new role, Phillips will lead the bank's local growth and community engagement efforts across Delaware. M&T Bank operates 55 branches in the state and employs more than 1,600 people locally.
"Krista Phillips' deep banking expertise, strong leadership and commitment to our customers and communities make her the right choice to lead our efforts in Delaware," said Augie Chiasera, head of community markets at M&T Bank.
Phillips succeeds Mark Hutton, who previously served as Delaware regional president and now serves as head of business banking at the bank.
M&T Bank is headquartered in Buffalo, New York, and operates branches across the eastern U.S. from Maine to Virginia and Washington, D.C.
