Palantir selected as cloud data layer for U.S. Army NGC2 program

Palantir Technologies (NASDAQ: PLTR) has been selected as the cloud data layer for the U.S. Army's Next Generation Command and Control program, known as NGC2, the company announced in a press release.

The Army has established a common data layer baseline for NGC2, its highest-priority modernization program, built on Palantir's Foundry platform as the cloud data layer and Anduril's Lattice as the tactical data layer. The architecture is designed to enable scaling and interoperability across the NGC2 ecosystem as the program moves from prototyping to broader deployment across Army formations.

Palantir stated it has been involved with NGC2 since its early experimentation and prototyping phases. Other industry participants in the program include Lockheed Martin and Anduril, alongside government-developed capabilities.

"By establishing a common data baseline for NGC2 from the outset, the Army is creating the foundation on which future applications and AI-enabled mission capabilities can be built," said Akash Jain, President and CTO of Palantir USG.

The NGC2 program combines commercial software, government solutions, and soldier-built applications under a contracting structure intended to accelerate development timelines from experimentation to fielded capability.
