Plus Therapeutics Inc. (NASDAQ: PSTV) announced a strategic partnership with Ephemeral Technologies to develop an artificial intelligence execution platform for central nervous system oncology. The platform will integrate and analyze data from Plus' therapeutic, diagnostic, and bioinformatics programs.

The Houston-based clinical-stage pharmaceutical company develops targeted radiotherapeutics for CNS cancers. The AI platform is designed to organize longitudinal data sets generated across Plus' CNS oncology technology programs.

"Plus is building a CNS oncology platform to integrate across our therapeutics, diagnostics and bioinformatics data sets," said Marc Hedrick, Plus Therapeutics president and chief executive officer. "Our partnership with Ephemeral and its expertise in deploying artificial intelligence brings industry-proven engineering and advanced AI capabilities to the most challenging area of oncology."

Ephemeral Technologies was founded by former co-heads of Palantir Technologies' U.S. healthcare business and focuses on bringing AI solutions to life sciences to accelerate drug development.

Plus anticipates operational improvements beginning in 2026, with plans to expand AI use for integrated workflows, operational decision support, translational analytics, patient stratification, and pharmaceutical collaborations beyond 2026.

"Plus' unique positioning and data sets in CNS oncology represents an ideal opportunity for Ephemeral," said Drew Goldstein, Ephemeral co-founder and co-chief executive officer.

Under the agreement, the companies will assess and implement AI-enabled data infrastructure to support integration and analysis of complex CNS oncology data sets. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Plus Therapeutics develops targeted radiotherapeutics for difficult-to-treat CNS cancers, with lead programs in leptomeningeal metastases and recurrent glioblastoma.
