IP Strategy Holdings (NASDAQ: IPST) announced the testnet launch of Confidential Data Rails on the Story blockchain, a system designed to enable secure access to sensitive data for AI applications.
The system allows organizations to use encrypted data without exposing raw information. Data owners set conditions for access, and data remains locked until those conditions are met. This approach enables collaboration on sensitive datasets in healthcare, financial, and enterprise sectors while maintaining ownership and regulatory compliance.
Confidential Data Rails operates by keeping data encrypted and under owner control while enabling its use for model training, analytics, and insights generation. The system uses programmable policies and secure execution environments to reduce trust requirements between parties.
The launch coincides with developments from Poseidon, another Story ecosystem project focused on collecting and verifying human data for AI systems. According to the company, these projects represent components of an AI data infrastructure stack.
IP Strategy describes itself as the first Nasdaq-listed company to hold $IP tokens as a primary reserve asset and operates a validator for the Story Blockchain. The Story network, backed by $136 million from investors including a16z crypto and Polychain Capital, launched its mainnet in February 2025.
The company stated it expects to continue highlighting ecosystem developments related to data usage and intellectual property infrastructure, according to the press release.
