Pentair (NYSE: PNR) announced that David A. Jones will retire as chairman of the board at the company's annual shareholder meeting on May 5, 2026. Jones has served on Pentair's board since 2003 and as chairman since 2018.
T. Michael Glenn will assume the chairman role following Jones's retirement. Glenn, who retired as executive vice president of FedEx Corporation and chief executive officer of FedEx Services, has served as an independent director on Pentair's board since 2007.
Glenn currently chairs the compensation committee and serves on the governance committee. The company stated that Glenn has participated in developing Pentair's strategic plans and supported the company's branding and marketing initiatives.
"It has been a privilege to serve as Chair of the Pentair Board, and I appreciate the opportunity to contribute to the Company's achievements over the past 23 years," Jones said in the announcement.
Pentair President and CEO John L. Stauch said the board extends appreciation for Jones's leadership over two decades. The water solutions company reported revenue of approximately $4.2 billion in 2025 and employs about 9,000 people globally, serving customers in more than 150 countries.
The leadership transition was disclosed in a company press release.
