Toyota (TM) extends partial production halt to Monday

Toyota Motor (NYSE: TM) announced Friday that the Japanese automaker will resume partial production Monday after its group plants temporarily activities following an accident at a supplier's facility.
The company said Friday that production on five lines at four plants, which had been stopped since the accident at supplier Chuo Spring on Monday, will now resume. However, production on eight lines at six other plants will remain suspended.
The company confirmed one line at its Takaoka plant, along with lines at plants operated by its affiliated companies, will remain suspended as well.
Chuo Spring, responsible for the production of engine, valve, and other springs, released a statement mentioning that it will resume production at its facility that had been affected by the accident, following necessary equipment repairs. The company anticipates resuming the supply to its customers starting from the following week.
Shares of TM are down 0.20% in afternoon trading Friday.
