Fisker (NYSE: FSR) held its “Product Vision Day” Thursday in Huntington Beach, California, where they showed prototypes of some upcoming vehicles, including the previously unannounced Alaska truck.
The Alaska is built on the extended adaptation of Fisker Ocean's platform, the FT31 and offers the best of both worlds - a sporty everyday ride and a highly flexible utility pickup. This innovative truck is designed to accommodate various cargo configurations, boasting a cargo bed extendable from 4.5 feet to 7.5 feet to an impressive 9.2 feet. The Houdini bed divider seamlessly connects the cargo bed and rear cabin, adding to its versatility.
Not only is Alaska designed to be the world's lightest electric pickup truck, with a projected range of 230-340 miles it is also the most sustainable option available.
Fisker expects deliveries of Alaska to commence in 2025, with a starting price of $45,400 before incentives.
“Innovation and sustainability, along with design, are our three brand values,” CEO Henrik Fisker said during the event.
“We want the world to know that we have big plans and intend to move into several different segments, redefining each with our unique blend of design, innovation, and sustainability.” He added.
Following the event, Fisker opened reservations for the Fisker Alaska ($250 for first reservation, $100 fully refundable for second).
Shares of FSR are up 1.57% in pre-market trading Friday.
