Kura Sushi (KRUS) Tops Q3 EPS by 12c

Kura Sushi (NASDAQ: KRUS) reported Q3 EPS of $0.16, $0.12 better than the analyst estimate of $0.04. Revenue for the quarter came in at $49.2 million versus the consensus estimate of $49.57 million.

GUIDANCE:

Kura Sushi sees FY2023 revenue of $187-189 million, versus the consensus of $187 million.

• Total sales between $187 million and $189 million;
• General and administrative expenses as a percentage of sales to be between 15.0% and 15.5%; and
• 9 to 11 new restaurants, with average net capital expenditures per unit of approximately $2.5 million.
