NVIDIA (NASDAQ: NVDA) reported its Q4 results, with EPS coming in at $1.32, above the consensus estimate of $1.22. Revenue grew 53% year-over-year to $7.64 billion, beating the consensus estimate of $7.42 billion.
Gaming ($3.42 billion, up 37% year-over-year), Data Center ($3.26 billion, up 71% year-over-year) and Professional Visualization ($643 million, up 109% year-over-year) market platforms each achieved record revenue in Q4.
The company delivered record revenue of $26.91 billion for 2022, representing a 61% growth year-over-year.
On February 8, NVIDIA and SoftBank Group Corp. announced the termination of the Share Purchase Agreement (whereby NVIDIA would have acquired Arm Limited from SoftBank) due to significant regulatory challenges preventing the consummation of the transaction. NVIDIA plans to record a $1.36 billion charge (the Arm Write-off) in operating expenses in Q1/23, reflecting the write-off of the prepayment provided at signing the agreement in September 2020.
The company expects Q1/23 revenue of $8.1 billion, plus or minus 2%, which is above the Street estimate of $7.29 billion.
