Lithia Motors (LAD) Misses Q1 EPS by 23c

Lithia Motors (NYSE: LAD) reported Q1 EPS of $2.07, $0.23 worse than the analyst estimate of $2.30. Revenue for the quarter came in at $2.7 billion versus the consensus estimate of $2.76 billion.

• Used vehicle retail same store sales increased 5%
• Same store F&I per unit was $1,380
• Service, body and parts same store sales increased 3%
• SG&A expense as a percentage of gross profit was 72.9%
• Online traffic up 24% over prior year
• 81% of US population within 500 miles of our delivery and service centers
