VMware (VMW) Tops Q1 EPS by 2c; Offers Strong Q2 Outlook

VMware (NYSE: VMW) reported Q1 EPS of $0.86, $0.02 better than the analyst estimate of $0.84. Revenue for the quarter came in at $1.59 billion versus the consensus estimate of $1.58 billion.

VMWare sees Q2 sales of $1.66 - $1.71 billion and EPS of $0.94 - $0.97. The consensus is at revenue of $1.66 billion and EPS of $0.94.
