Cracker Barrel (CBRL) Tops Q1 EPS by 11c; Trims FY16 EPS Outlook

Cracker Barrel (NASDAQ: CBRL) reported Q1 EPS of $1.70, $0.11 better than the analyst estimate of $1.59. Revenue for the quarter came in at $702.6 million versus the consensus estimate of $704.69 million.

Compared to the prior year first quarter, comparable store restaurant sales increased 2.5% and comparable store retail sales increased 2.4%.

Guidance:

Cracker Barrel sees FY2016 EPS of $7.15-$7.30, versus the consensus of $7.29.

Cracker Barrel sees Q2 2016 EPS of $1.80-$1.90, versus the consensus of $2.00.
