America's Car Mart (NASDAQ: CRMT) reported Q1 EPS of $0.52, $0.34 worse than the analyst estimate of $0.86. Revenue for the quarter came in at $143 million versus the consensus estimate of $142.34 million.
Comps rose 8.9 percent.
- Retail unit sales increase of 6.6% to 12,244 from 11,482 for the prior year quarter with increased productivity at 28.9 retail units sold per store per month, up from 28.4 for the prior year quarter (up from 28.1 sequentially)
- Average retail sales price increased $501 to $9,965 or 5.3% from the prior year quarter (decreased $42 or 0.4% sequentially)
