Two ferries damaged in Ukraine strike on Crimea, official says May 30, 2024 03:15PM

(Reuters) - Ukraine's military said on Thursday it had damaged two ferries in Russian-held Crimea and halted their operations between the peninsula and the Russian mainland.

A Russia-appointed official in Crimea, Nikolai Lukashenko, had earlier acknowledged the strike in the port of Kerch, saying debris from downed Ukrainian missiles had damaged the vessels and operations on the ferry line had been suspended.

Renault to develop Twingos priced under 20,000 euros with Chinese partner May 30, 2024 03:11PM

PARIS (Reuters) - Renault said it would link up with a Chinese engineering company to develop future Twingo cars priced below 20,000 euros ($21,676), as European automakers target smaller and cheaper electric vehicles to compete with Chinese peers.

(Reuters) -Billionaire hedge fund manager Bill Ackman is considering endorsing Donald Trump as the former U.S. president seeks to return to the White House, a source familiar with the matter said.

Security Council resolution on a Gaza ceasefire, which specifically calls for a halt to Israel's offensive in Rafah, is not balanced, the U.S. State Department said on Thursday, saying it does not blame Palestinian militant group Hamas for the conflict.

SANTIAGO (Reuters) - Chile's state mining firm ENAMI aims to start construction on its first lithium project in the country as soon as 2027 or 2028, company chief Ivan Mlynarz told Reuters, part of the government's push to boost its role in production of the battery metal.
