AMSTERDAM (Reuters) - The prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC) on Monday applied for arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, his defence chief and three Hamas leaders over alleged war crimes.
If those requests are granted the Israeli and Hamas leaders would join a list of war crime suspects who remain at large from the court in The Hague.

MOSCOW (Reuters) - The former commander of Russia's 58th army, Ivan Popov, has been arrested on suspicion of "large scale fraud", state-run TASS agency reported on Tuesday.
TASS said a military court had ordered the detention of Major General Popov.

BRUSSELS (Reuters) - Moldova has signed a security and defence partnership with the European Union, the first country to make such a deal with the bloc, EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell said on Tuesday.
Led by pro-European President Maia Sandu, Moldova, which lies between Ukraine and NATO and EU member Romania, hopes to join the European Union by 2030 and has staunchly condemned Russia's full-scale invasion of neighbouring Ukraine.
