BRUSSELS (Reuters) - The European Union's General Court ruled on Wednesday that the European Parliament could not deny a Freedom of Information request for documents sought by transparency activists about an unidentified member of the EU Parliament convicted of a crime.

HONG KONG (Reuters) - Hong Kong's appeal court on Wednesday granted an application by the government to ban a protest anthem named "Glory to Hong Kong", overturning a lower court judgement last year that had rejected the government's bid citing free speech concerns.
The ruling comes amid what critics say is an erosion in Hong Kong's rule of law and individual rights amid a sweeping national security crackdown by China's Communist Party leaders.

(Reuters) - German sportswear brand Puma's first-quarter sales met expectations on Wednesday, sending its shares rising more than 4%, helped by demand for its retro shoes and a return to growth in the Americas region, the company said.
Currency-adjusted sales rose 0.5% to 2.10 billion euros ($2.26 billion), in line with the 2.1 billion expected by analysts, Refinitiv data showed.

SINGAPORE (Reuters) - A Singapore Air Force F-16 plane crashed at Tengah Air Base on Wednesday at 12:35 p.m. (0435 GMT), Singapore's defence ministry said on Wednesday.
The plane "experienced an issue during take-off and the pilot responded in accordance with emergency procedures", the ministry said in a statement. It said the pilot ejected successfully and is conscious and able to walk, and is receiving medical attention.
