MANILA (Reuters) -A volcano in central Philippines erupted on Monday, spewing plumes of up to 5,000 metres (16,404.2 feet) high, the country's seismology agency said.
The lowest alert level remained on Mt. Kanlaon in the Philippine province of Negros Oriental, with the level unchanged for several days leading up to the eruption, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said in an advisory.

AMSTERDAM (Reuters) - ASML, the biggest maker of equipment used to manufacture semiconductors, said on Monday it has opened a test laboratory for its High NA EUV lithography equipment, together with Belgium chip research firm Imec.

(Reuters) - A court in Pakistan has overturned the prison sentence of jailed former Prime Minister Imran Khan on Monday in a case pertaining to the leaking of state secrets, local broadcaster ARY news and his lawyer said.
Khan, 71, was previously handed a 10-year prison sentence by a lower court in the case on charges of making public a classified cable sent to Islamabad by Pakistan's ambassador in Washington in 2022.
