Feb 7 (Reuters) - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is expected to meet U.S. President Donald Trump on Wednesday in Washington, where they will discuss negotiations with Iran, Netanyahu's office said on Saturday.
Iranian and U.S. officials held indirect nuclear talks in the Omani capital Muscat on Friday. Both sides said more talks were expected to be held again soon.

PARIS, Feb X (Reuters) - Jack Lang, a former French culture minister under President Francois Mitterrand, has resigned as president of the Arab World Institute, the French Foreign Affairs ministry said on Saturday, a decision taken under pressure over Lang's ties to the late financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

MILAN, Feb 7 (Reuters) - A group of around 100 hooded protesters threw flares and fireworks at police after breaking away from the main body of a demonstration in the Olympic host city of Milan on Saturday, a Reuters reporter said.
Police responded with water cannon to try to disperse the crowd.

COPENHAGEN, Feb 7 (Reuters) - Greenland's Foreign Minister Vivian Motzfeldt said on Saturday that while it is positive that talks with the U.S. are ongoing, they are not yet where Greenland wants them to be, and it is too early to predict where they will lead.

WASHINGTON, Feb 7 (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump on Saturday publicly backed a proposed merger between local television station operator Nexstar Media and its smaller rival Tegna.
"We need more competition against THE ENEMY, the Fake News National TV Networks," Trump wrote in a social media post. "GET THAT DEAL DONE!"
